Matthew Coleridge

Matthew Coleridge - choral composer

One of the most exciting new voices in choral music, Matthew Coleridge's choral works are performed by both amateur and professional choirs around the world. His acclaimed Requiem has established itself at the core of the UK choral concert repertoire, and is regularly voted into the upper reaches of Classic FM's Hall of Fame.

Matthew's music has been recorded by ensembles including The Choir of Royal Holloway, The Queen's Six, Jervaulx Singers and Portsmouth Cathedral Choir, and has been performed in venues including Barcelona's Sagrada Familia and several cathedrals in the UK, Europe and North America. In 2025, Matthew was awarded the PRS Foundation Composers' Fund, for support with his forthcoming album 'The Breath of Life'.

Matthew leads choral workshops around the UK and Europe, and is always keen to hear from choirs and orchestras wanting to collaborate.
